Remember the mentor, teacher or coach that made that difference in your life? Who gave you the courage and determination to do your best and who helped shape your performance and character. You can be that person in someone else’s life.

Coach’s serve as role models and character builders, giving the athletes awareness of their worth, abilities, courage and the confidence to grow and improve. As a coach you have a great impact in the lives of the athletes, by helping them acquire skills that can influence their ability to obtain employment, succeed in school and achieve their personal goals.

Become a coach and you’ll be joining an amazing team of individuals. Trade your coaching tips and exercises, build new friends and have a real impact on the lives of athletes. Being a coach can be one of the most rewarding experiences of a lifetime – for both you and the athletes you mentor.

It is required that all coaches become NCCP certified.

Certified coaches enjoy the credibility of the sporting community and of the athletes they coach because they have been observed and evaluated "doing" what is required of them as a competent coach in their sport. They are recognized as meeting or exceeding the high standards embraced by more than 60 national sport organizations in Canada. Fostering confidence at all levels of sport, certification is a benefit shared by parents, athletes, sport organizations, and our communities.
